I don't know where you live, but I live in Florida where Publix reigns supreme, and a while back I was browsing through the olive section and discovered them. They are amazing. The taste reminds me a bit of a cross between black olives and green, so they're a little different than the usual green olives. The brand is Mina!
Well, if you ever run into them in the wild, I definitely recommend them. I certainly understand that, they don't sell my favorite potato chips down here, or buckwheat flour, or the beans I love for making my Gram's baked beans... or, or, or...! I wind up ordering these things online.
I started reorganizing my recipes a few years ago. I don't have anything fancy, just a black 3 ring binder and some dividers for sections - I always tell myself I'm going to get or make something much prettier, because it's admittedly very plain and it's one of my most loved and well used possessions. I'm loving the photo of yours, it's inspired me to get to work finding something more aesthetically pleasing! It sounds like a fun project.
Brilliant solution! Did it work?! It seems like it would.
It worked!! I added a glug of olive brine from a jar of green olives plus some kosher salt. Delicious and edible.
I hadn't thought about olive brine, and I always have some handy from my beloved Moroccan olives! Brilliant.
Olives always a winner!! Olive brine...kitchen gold. But now I’m dreaming of Moroccan olives 🫒🫒🫒

Thanks!! I know Publix from visiting FL. But, here in New Mexico they don’t exist.
